Scariest Movie Ever?

OK so I'm a little late to the party with my review of Paranormal Activity, but I was there for the midnight showing the first night to maximize the scariness. I've just been delinquent when it comes blogging. Anyway I love horror movies, I love cheesy, violent, bloody horror movies. I love anything that's suspenseful. So let me tell you how excited i was for this movie...very. So me and my fiance are in the theatre with our popcorn it's 12:15 the theater is packed and the excitement is palpable. This is the scariest movie ever, right? 1 hour and 39 minutes later me and my finance stare at each other in confusion...or maybe disbelief. Did we really just waste that time in our lives...not to mention $45 for tickets and food. Was this it? A cheesy amateur porn movie where our couple fails to have sex...or a bad episode of Ghost hunters that fails to scare us. The movie does manage to build some suspense, but it's drawn out by us watching people have lunch or brush their teeth. In the end it fails to deliver what it promises.

Wild Things!

So i watched Where the Wild Things Are and I have to say that I was genuinely pleased with how it came out. First I want to point out that regardless of the source material this was not really a children's movie. It was steeped in emotional turmoil and bursts of anger and was sometimes a little scary. But it was beautiful, Spike Jonze completely captured the look and feel of the book. The "Wild things" themselves were amazing. I don't know if they were computer generated, puppetry or a mixture of both. But it was the most incredibly authentic performances from all of them. The range of emotions visible on the Wild Things faces was...well i can't really explain it. definitely something that needs to be seen. If there was an academy award for best performance for a non-living character Carol or KW would win, hands down. I say if you fondly remember the book then go see this movie. Of course since the book is really short the story may not be what you remember but there are definitely some classic lines from the book to look out for.

Where in the world have I been?

Sorry for the lack of posts people. But I've been busy playing video games that I haven't really had time to post anything. That and I'm just unbelievably lazy. But i plan to definitely continue posting reviews and my thoughts on the world. Does anyone else feel like television has lost it's luster this year. I mean all the new shows this year are absolute crap, except for The Good Wife on CBS and Stargate Universe on SyFy. There is nothing to watch, and i don't even really want to watch the older shows, I think I may be giving up on heroes for good. I think Jay Leno and NBC are the beginning of the end of good television as we know it. Anyway that's all i have to say
